Crappy Graphs

Today in class we learned about a new online tool to create quick and easy graphs called Crappy Graphs. Below is a link to click on to see my crappy graph that I created using the Per Pupil Expenditures statisics from the National Center of Educational Statistics. Also, using the snipping tool there is a picture of the crappy graph that I made.

Rubistar

Today in class we created a Rubistar account. Rubistar is an online tool that you can use to create rubrics for assessing performance. This site allows you to find other rubrics that will help you create your own rubric. You can choose a template rubric to edit to suit your own project. I added Rubistar to my delicious account to use for future reference.

EMBEDDED PREZI Project!

Today in class we were supposed to embed that we created to go along with our webquest that we have been working. I think mine is still a work in progress, but nonetheless here is my presentation.

I was not in class on Friday, April 9 because of a tennis tournament, but in class we talked about about a new snipping tool called Jing. You can download this tool for free online from the website. Here is a link to the JING WEBSITE to download!

Hello Photo Story...Goodbye Ol' Powerpoint

Today in class we were introduced Microsoft Photo Story. We also created accounts on Youtube because we are going to upload our movies that we create through Photo story onto Youtube. The following are the responses to the questions e-mailed in blackboard 4/05/10.


2.) Photo Story 3 for Windows is program where you can take still images and make them into a movie. You can get a copy of it by downloading it off the internet for free.
3.) The file type for a MPS project is .wp3
4.) The file type for an exported MPS movie wmv.
5.) MPS projects open in Photo Story 3.
6.) Exported MSP movies open in Windows Media Player or you can upload them to YouTube.
7.) Yes, yes you can do transitions in between images.
8.) You can crop and changes the picture styles.
9.)You can focus in on certain parts of the image at first, and then the image will go to the full picture or vice versa.
10.) In order to save your Powerpoint into images you first save it onto your desktop. When you go to save as, then click on other formats. Save the type as JPEG File Interchange Format.
